Yesterday, Drama Prince and I spent a lovely afternoon with tinkerspink. The three of us were out to lunch when tinkerspink asked me how I'm adjusting to motherhood.

One aspect of parenting that I wasn't prepared for was the crying. Every day the tears flow over the tiniest little things. Sometimes the waterworks start with no apparent provocation at all.

Please indulge me while I call a little bullshit.

I've spent the past several days immersed in parenting resources. And really, they can all go fuck themselves. Why? Because I've had it with every book, website, support group, store, etc who have decided that all the responsibility of childrearing falls on me because I'm the MOM.

I'm looking for book recs. I'm in the mood for a novel, something reasonably light and easy. I'd also consider non-fiction, as long as it's on the topic of something fun/hopeful and won't make me feel like the world is going to hell in a handbasket. I need a break from that.
